This blog updates on the previous DSB blog after week 4 of MiFID II, to reveal a fairly stable universe of institutions contributing reference data to ESMA and an increased population of DSB ISINs being created for purposes other than reporting to FIRDS.
Some highlights from the data
=> A total of 1,149,313 unique DSB ISINs have been reported to FIRDS a total of 1,649,270 times – representing almost 21% of all DSB ISINs created
=> Venues have reported 70% of all DSB ISINs in FIRDS – a breakdown is provided below
=> The list of top 10 trading venues reporting DSB ISINs remains unchanged, although there have been changes in their comparative positions in the list
=> There are now 10 systematic internalisers reporting reference data, up from 8 at the end of January 2018 with the SI share of DSB ISINs reported rising from 21% to 30%
